Toby

When we first saw Toby in June, 2012 our hearts melted and we knew he had to join our family. He was approximately 9 months old.

Toby started out as such a fearful dog where any little thing, even a leaf blowing past would scare him. We worked very hard to help him overcome his fears and eventually he became a much more confident dog.

Toby was the sweetest and most gentle dog. He loved people and other dogs and didn’t bother or chase any small wildlife.

His favourite place was the lake. Swimming wasn’t high on his list of fun things to do, but exploring the beach, the dunes and bush to see what he could find was. Running free on the beach - now that was heaven.

Toby gave us so much love for the 12+ years that he was with us. Our hearts and home are very empty without him and we will miss him very much.

In his last month, Toby became very ill. We had to make the hardest decision on Oct. 15th to let him go. He now can join Cinnamon, Nikki, Cody and Shadow and play on the beaches over the Rainbow Bridge.
