Lady Bianca

Lady Bianca ~ AKA Queen B ~

Spring 2005 - September 8, 2022

πŸŒˆπŸ’™My dearest Bianca lay in my arms, surrounded by her cat family, took her last breath at 8:55 am, September 8, 2022 and crossed over to the Summerlands.

πŸ‘‘Queen B🐝 , as she was fondly revered as at Chez Steele, was the matriarch of our clowder. Always a lady, elegant, classy, gentle and a bit larger than life in personality and bodily structure😻 .

Bianca was a dear friend with whom I shared a deep understanding about life on this cruel Earth.

When she came to me as a medical foster from Craig St. Cats, severely and profoundly injured because of a negligent owner, not once did she ever complain or lash out. She tolerated dressing changes, staples, sutures, many meds and vet visits.

It always astounded and humbled me just how gentle and forgiving her soul remained. Bianca was dearly loved, deeply understood as a soul sister and kindred spirit to many.

Her mobility this last summer was beginning to become much more challenging as her arthritis became degenerative.

Navigating stairs became impossible but she always had me to carry her where she liked to be most...outside in "her" garden patch  in the brightest sunbeam to "recharge her solar panels". Sometimes she glowed so bright in the sunshine, she was the closest thing to a Supernova I'd ever seen!🌟

Bianca didn't suffer and she chose to take her leave rather quickly, just as a proper lady would.

No more pain for you, my dear Queen. You taught us resilience, forgiveness and tolerance in this big, scary world.

9 years ago, I made a solemn vow to care for Bianca gently and unconditionally for the rest of her days as a "foster fail" and did good by those words.

Until we meet again...go find that brightest sunbeam to recharge in!πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸŒˆπŸŒŸβ˜€οΈπŸ˜Ž

You are very missed,

Love Momma, Grandpa Caesar, Bijou, Tarzan, Moxie and Gigi
