My beautiful magic Merlin.💕 You came magically to my 3rd floor 'no pets allowed' apartment doorstep in spring of 2007. You were a total purr monster that brought so much love.

Despite having FIV from the moment you came to me, you did not succumb to any health issues until 2017 when you needed your first eye removed due to glaucoma. A second enucleation came 2 years later. My goodness, you were a trooper and handled it all in stride.

I'm sorry if you were holding on so long just because you knew how much mom would miss you. What a magnificent beast you were. I hope there is an after world where you have regained your vision and are strong, agile and content and sleeping peacefully in the sun near Anna, Jimmy and Gizmo at naptime.

I hope I will see you all again someday.
