Leo

April 2022 - December 28, 2023

Leo was not quite 2 years old, when he passed away. He was born to a set of feral cats that lived in a treed area near our home. After their mother cat had taken them away in the night, sadly only two kittens made their way back, Leo was one.

He loved his family, we would often times watch as they all crowded together on an outdoor cushion, and groom each other for minutes on end. For the last year and 7 mouths, We were entertained by he and his brother running up our trees, hanging off of shrubs and roughhousing in front of the entranceway of the house. Last spring, with the help of the Humane Society, Leo and his brother were caught, neutered and released back to our property.

As Leo grew, he was a grand fellow, with a striking main that framed his face and a sweetness that melted your heart. Often, we would be watching t.v. in the evening only to notice his reflective eyes watching us from a tree outside of the room we were in. It wasn’t long before Leo made his way into the house for his brushing sessions, and did he ever had a beautiful coat, it was a thrill that he allowed us to brush him, take care of him, and ultimately to love him.
