Sapper

December 23, 2010 - February 18, 2023

We got Sapper on a late Sunday evening 21st of February 2011 from Bexley Heath in London, England.  For me, she was a belated 50th birthday present from my husband, Peter.  Her early life with us was spent in Chiswick, west London, where we shared our every day with her, walking along the river bank of the Thames, where she loved to swim, to visits to shops, restaurants and  pubs where she was always welcome There were countless trips to visit family and friends.  She was a great traveller in the car, on buses, trains and the tube, where she had many happy times being petted by total strangers who fell in love with her happy and engaging nature.  Often going away on holidays without us as friends so enjoyed her company they would request a weekend with her, and how could we deny them that little treat, but we missed her!

In August 2020 Peter brought Sapper from the UK to Canada when he moved back here after 20 years.  I was able to re-unite with them in December 2021 and we started our new life together.

From first thing in the morning to last thing at night she was there with us always.  Sapper gave us our happiest moments, which will be so dearly remembered and sadly missed.  And we gave her all our love.

Sleep the sleep of angels dear Sapper until we are reunited.  Your two dads, Gary and Peter
