Diesel

💙🌈 Diesel gained his wings this past Thursday March 23/23. He fought hard and earned his rest. 

~𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓫𝓮𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓸𝓯 𝓶𝔂 𝓫𝓲𝓰𝓰𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓫𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼 𝓓𝓲𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓵. 𝓣𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓷𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓫𝓮 𝓪𝓷𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾 ~ 𝓧𝓞𝓧𝓞 

My Dearest Diesel,

From the moment we first met, I knew I could never say goodbye, so instead, this is a thank you letter.

Thank you for being my protector, my best friend, & one of my true soul mates. Thank you for letting me be your Mum Mum. I’ll never know a greater name. Oh take me back to that first time we met. Feels just like yesterday. My life forever changed that October day. You walked into my heart, snuggled in & never left. I’ll forever hold that special spot in my heart just for you. I know you’ll always be with me, now just in a different form.  I’ll watch for you in the butterflies and sunsets.

Thank you for loving me and giving me endless laughs. The smartest boy with the most handsome smile. So so handsome.  You always knew how to charm me…and get some extra cheese, fries or potato chips. In good times and bad, you were always there. The only boy who ever taught me what real true love is. I can never thank you enough for that.

That summer evening on the dock watching the sunset together at Clear Lake is one of my most treasured life memories. Just you, just me. I’ll cherish it and you forever. Thank you for that gift.

Thank you for being the best boy through it all. Oh what a journey we’ve had together. Sometimes we spun in dizzy circles, but we always made it, together. The best days of my life were with you by my side.  Spending lazy afternoons laying nose to nose in bed with you, sharing a pillow. My absolute favourite.

You always took care of Essence and I. Thank you Big D. Our fierce protector. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of your sister Essence for you. She will miss you. I will miss you. Oh boy will we miss you, with all of our hearts. Don’t worry, we will be ok.  Please come visit us as much as you can, ok? I’ll leave the light on. And don’t forget to visit me on the dock at sunset...I’ll be waiting for you. 🌅
